A pic from a few weeks ago.
A pic from a few weeks ago. Trying to get my basic rolling stock fleet modified and ready for painting/decals. Still a ways to go before I have a basic fleet. However, since this picture was taken, more cars have been readied for the paint shop process.

At the present moment I have 4 workbenches in use.
#1. Main (various small projects)
#2. Drying area
#3. The layout (bench work)
#4. The computer desk
So take your pick. LOL

Participating in this let me see just how badly uneven the railings are on the top. i had to tear the high side off and reglue it...

Fowler boxcar
Between organizing a new workbench and unpacking boxes, I've been building one of the new Accurail Fowler boxcar kits. The parts fall together quickly. I'm assessing details on an NC&StL prototype to determine the next steps.
Here's a closer look at the underframe. The K brake cylinder is one casting. The rods and levers are another. The center sills are separate and have the brake hangers already cast in place. The three skinny crossmembers are also separate.
