My former workbench has the cats (transitioning from kittens) on it frequently, and they can't be kept out of that room.  New workbench is in the shed.

As molded by Athearn the windshield are oversized and square at the ends. 

There was a company that made an insert to give a more correct looking windshield to the Athearn BB F7.  I think it was American Model Builders.or American Ltd.

Just got my CN GP9u painted along with my M420.  Wanted to get them painted before the winter rains get started here on the west (wet) coast of Canada.  My ongoing F7Au project is also approaching completion, along with a bunch of other projects.

I’ve been back in the cellar for 7 months and I am getting ready to hit the road again.  I have a surprise for you all this year.  The power supply will be part of the offering’s testing process.  It needed a case so this is it in the build stage.  If I’m lucky maybe I can show you the finished meter and my offering in person!

To MikeC; my dad passed 7 years ago.  He was an experimental machinist / tool and die maker.  I still think of him a lot.  Especially when I’m at my workbench using the tools he left me.  The two dies are dead square and very heavy.

Now I’m doing the exciting part....   watching glue dry!!!
