Running trains on the Hitop Secondary

Some recent shots from the Hitop:

My N Scale journey - Part 3 - lockouts, lockdown (and a note on scale again)

Hello again,

(longish post ahead)

It's great to be back blogging again. I think it's been a couple of months since I last posted which is a travesty, given my initial plan to post an entry every fortnight or so documenting my (slow) N-scale layout progress.

Diorama cross-run

I recently made a photo series with a train passing through several of my dioramas.

Transfer move I

It started at 30th Street Yard, where PRR SN1200 #8539 is preparing for a transfer move to a local industry district. At the old depot, the transfer move stopped to pick up some crew members.

Passenger Service at Bingham Canyon and Copper King mine.

Passenger Service is a must at the Copper King Mine, the railroad is the only way to get to work at the mine and mill. Bingham had passenger service for only a short time, we talk about that and show the few pictures we have of that time. Some of the photos from the Utah Historical Society.

Skeleton frame baseboard

I have brought some 9mm ply to start my baseboard modules. I was sent to a webpage regarding skeleton style baseboards, but do think I could find it again. Nope can't find it so I'm going to have to design my own. I hope I can do it without waisting my wood.

LDRR 4K Video, Screen capture at 1080p and displayed at 720 on MRH 4 Joe

OK,  I know the color grading does not match the layout lighting,  It is a little darker than I (ISO 100 and the camera is a permeant F2) want for the South West,  but we are in a basement that needs more lights.  I know it does not look as clear as you think it should,  but this is 4K Video played on a 1080P PC screen and snipped with a screen capture, then uploaded to MRH and displayed at 720.   I know we have focus issues the camera was set to auto focus and it is a vloger type camera so it seeks out people or a person to focus on in its algorithm.&nbsp
