Cornhill & Atherton Engine House

I am supposed to be working on the mountain behind the Engine Terminal which tops the Helix, but I got a bit distracted (it's not a crime). So here is my first ("semi serious") attempt at a structure.

Origins are an eBay purchased; Muir Models vintage kit.
As far as kit contents and instructions go, we are in "box of sticks and a vague clue"  territory, but I see this as an advantage. I've come close to scratch building the whole thing so, my confidence levels for future kit bash/scratch build have gone up considerably.

NCE! Powercab VS. CAB06

Hello everyone

I have purchased a NCE Powercab v1.65 and a CAB06.

I have connected them correctly to the PCP, however the CAB06 will not run with the Powercab v1.65.... it turns on, however the little light above the F(faward) or R(reverse) never comes on..

The CAB06 will run on the older version of the Powercab PRE- v1.65

The cab addresses different on the Powercab and CAB06.
The Wiring to the PCP is correct.
The wiring to the track is correct.
NCE decoders in all of my locomotives.

Pembroke II: Wiring up the South Section

Tonight I soldered all the feeders to the bus wires. The frog feeders are still hanging loose, but all those stock rails are fed now. It is singularly uninteresting from a visual standpoint, and the photo came out blurry; so the photo below shows something else.

Wiring on South Section

Working from above, it has been easy to forget that the first two switches will actually be on the wide window sill. I think when I designed this, I considered those two switches almost as part of the staging yard, and thus it made sense to use ground throws as I will most likely do in the staging yard.

Computer control for online model railroading

There used to be a couple of websites that you could control a model railroad from anywhere. Its not up anymore and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any still online.

WEUSANDCORR tour

This video is showing the changes I have made unfortunately I don't own a camera and my friend did it with his mobile phone. It is of one lap around the layout with some hidden track footage left out

Algonquin Railway-Brent Quarry

Hey Everyone here is a few shots of Brent Quarry.  I just finished this scene and the hoppers in the last couple of days.  Still need a company sign and loads for the hoppers but I would say its 95% done.  I used Kevin Kettles weathering techniques fro the inside of the hoppers.  It was easy and looks great.  Thanks for Looking..

Need some Help

I have just renewed my interest in HO trains after a 30+ year absence.  I have a Digitrax super chief control system on a 6 by 10 layout.  the layout has 2 reversing loops and are connected to a PM42 wired for auto reversing and the other 2 sections of the PM42 are set up as power districts (probably over kill, but did it because I thought it was the right way to do it.

Plausible, Workable or Just too Much?...

Hi All,

Yesterday while tinkering with the Chemical Transfer Facility on the L&T Branch, and thinking about Ops Sessions and some added extras that could be added to make things a little more interesting I came up with this idea.

The original scene looks like this...
