Dockside Trackwork
Decided to lay some track.
Began the rehab of the dock area.
Hopefully this will lend itself to some interesting switching.
The WYE with two stub ends will be a ferry dock. (Have the craftsman kit).
The section next to the wye with the re-railer will be my DCC programming track. It will be isolated from the rest of the track (cut the track and CA glued in some bits of styrene to ensure no contact).
Not Quite Model Railroading
So, my daughter came home with a project idea for one of her classes. They have been divided into groups and have to do a report/presentation on different regions of Canada. Their group got the Cordillera region, which encompasses most of BC, the Yukon and a bit of Alberta. She suggested to her group to do a 3D map of the area, and her Dad could help!
"Boulder Ridge" Free-moN Module WIP 02/22/15
Most of you have read my pink foam fiasco. Suffice to say that issue has been solved and I'm moving forward. The show is coming up this next weekend and the guys asked if I would bring my work in progress modules to the show. Being the seeker of punishment that I am, I said okay.
Work continues on the BNML - Lighting
I've finally got taken some time to work on the BNML again. Lets get some light on the situation!
In this thread, I will describe my lighting, beginning with the valance and lighting structure.
- Bill
STATUS:
- January 15, 2016 - The lights are all up! Just need to finish the Valance.
- January 27, 2016 - The valance is done!
Grass Help
Followed the directions and may not be doing something correctly for the static grass applicator. First of all, the Scenic material is kind of clumpy in the container and doesn't seem to flow freely. I am mixing two colors to achieve the look I want. Is there something I have to do to break apart this material?
NE-1 in the hole
It looks like LV NE-1 is in the hole as CNJ AC-1 gets a medium clear. I don't think NE-1 will be cooling its jets too long. The CNJ man has plenty of power to get over the hill. Action at Hetchel Interlocking July, 1975.
Switching OP at Cleveland & Eastern
Today I'd like to share a little video I captured some time ago.
Showing a little switching action on my N-Scale layout.
C&E #1260 first moves a tankcar to - yet to be built - Dan's Oil and then swaps some cars at East Grain Mill
Enjoy
Cheers,
Mike
