Planning for the new Northern New England Scenic
The house isn't sold yet, a new one not yet bought, and I am spending a lot of time traveling from my soon to be former home in NH to my new office in Ohio. It will probably at least another couple months before I have really fully moved. But as moments allow, it is time for me to start planning the new layout. I will be using this post to chronicle the research and planning stage as I consider what "NNEScenic 2" will model, to learn and research modular techniques, to work through planning software choices, and to come up with a plan for the new layout.

Deadwood Gulch & Ruby Basin layout
The Deadwood Gulch and Ruby Basin layout is a prototype of the Narrow Gauge rail roads of the Black Hills of South Dakota. It was inspired by these photos and illustrations. All most all of the scenery and buildings are scratch built.
