Creating a 3D Print of an Illinois Traction System freight motor
After having successfully 3D printed an ITS Rodger's ballast hopper car, I needed something to pull it. Therefore I am attempting to create a 3D printed model of the Illinois Traction System's freight motors #1063-1067. The image below shows #1065 and then #1064. These are both from the collection of Mr. Dale Jenkins.
MRail
Hello,
Im building and HO scale micro/shelf layout.
The era is the 1974 and 1984 based in the Mid Atlantic are.MRail is a ficticious railroad who's name comes from the first letter of my name and my kids, we all start with an " M".
I grew up and lived most of my life in Rochester NH with the Boston and Maine and Guilford. So originaly I was going to model Rochester during that time period. The layout was a 33" x80 .I spent about 6 months building the first side and the associated buildings.
Junction City - A Yard on the 8th Sub
Not much had been happening to finish the 8th Subdivison's yard at Junction City. I got some inspiration from a new kit and proceeded from there.
Facia Panel Design
It's time to start controlling some turnouts on the railroad. I was inspired by a panel that was created by Jas for his JL&T Railroad. Details of that discussion can be found here.
On my layout, this area will be controlled by manual turnouts and I choose Blue Point machines to control these turnouts for their flexibility in placing the controls.
Project - Fertilizer Distributor Scratch Build
I needed a project and why not start on this small town rail served distributor for fertilizer.
I have never tried scratch building a complex structure and thought I would post my progress as a beginner over the next few months.
The plans are 1:1 scale and the model will be built in 1:48 scale. (It easier to let the software change the scale)
So let's see how it goes and if I finish it.
The Big White Empty
