Looking for the standard roll up door dimensions used for warehouse truck loadout doors doors and railroad loading doors on warehouses. Sill height etc. for mid 90's warehouses.
Cascade Sub Backdrops: Enhancing the base
In a previous post 2 weeks ago I discussed establishing a "base" on the backdrop for further detailing and scenery development. In Oakridge, a town that is surrounded by prominent hills, I wanted to take some time to work on developing my base painting at a higher level of detail, specifically detailing the prominent features in the background before I move on to any foreground painting.
Spectrum 2-6-6-2 Short Followup
Alright, everybody, I know this is LONG overdue, but here are some pics for the followup to the short in my spectrum articulated. To make a long story short, it turned out, like some of you had suggested, that it was a loose connection with the driver truck wires. So anyway, I went ahead and fixed that. While I was at it, I found out the circuit board in the locomotive had gone bad, so I pulled it out and replaced it with a set of Micro-Mark mini connectors.

At it's heart, it's a logging railroad, but mining has played a large part in it's recent prosperity.
Refueling station
Been working on a refueling station for the engine house. It’s a modified Con-Cor (Piko) Cambria Fuel Rack. Nice little kit with lots of detail, piping, tanks and associated parts. Still determining which of those parts will be used here.
Problem with Kato Switch
At one particular spot on my n scale layout, I'm having problems with a Kato #4 left switch. It is powered by DC power and activated by a DPDT momentary switch, like all others on my layout. I had been away from my layout for a while, and when returned, I found the switch was not working. As this had happened with others, and they had been "fixed" by loosening them up by throwing the manual throw lever, I tried the same thing here. However, the manual throw lever was "frozen." I took the switch out of my layout, opened the back and found that
