3D Printed Truck Bodies. *Video*
Here are a couple vehicle projects I have been working on. Both truck bodies I actually designed for and were in a computer game. The crazy thing about 3D printing is all I needed to do was resize the models to HO scale and adjust the underside to fit a frame. The fuel service truck will make an appearance on the layout occasionally to fuel up my industry RSSX Railserve GP7 and SW1200. The Hauler was built only because I designed the bed for this model truck in Farming Simulator and the cab was so cheap. Maybe it will find a place on a farm scene on my future layout.
Started a new channel for modeling project.
Starting very simple....
Wilmington Yard Office
I recently decided to upgrade the scenery are the north end of Wilmington Yard. A friend made a comment about the "great white whale", the GW Bush & Sons coal dealership, so I was shamed into finishing it and giving it a first coat of paint.
Benchwork cleared away. (New layout design)
I spent a little time every day this past week cleaning off my layout. To my surprise the motive power still ran pretty smooth. Everything needs a good cleaning, though.
I whipped up a basic plan of my layout. It's 11x4. I still have lots to figure out.
Question about sand houses
I all. I have a small layout in progress and am now planning the locomotive maintenance area. My question is, would an old steam era sand house be ok for a transition time frame? Maybe with some modification? in any case I dont have a lot of room in that area.
I plan to scratch build this sand house in ho scale. Any plans somewhere I could use?
Thanks for any info on this,
Pierre
Rockport Subdivision
First timer starting my first layout after many years of arm-chairing the hobby...... Will be basing my layout of a shelf design I found on this site https://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/17099. I will be making the shelves a bit deeper to allow a little more room and track flexibility. Wish me luck lol
Splitrock operations video. Or, what are those colored balls on the ore cars?
