Longmont Sugar Mill...... base scenery almost done!

It has been awhile since i have posted anything but I thought I would share how the layout is going. The Longmont Great Western sugar mill is just about done with base scenery. I took the prototype and design and condensed model and my friend Sean build the model it has a hard under structure but the outside is all paper! this has cause me to learn some new methods for doing scenery as the paper can not get soaked in water while everything is drying (making the process much slower). Still some detail that need to be 3D printed some in the photo need to be painted yet to come. Here are some photos of the work.

Colorado Front Range Railroad - How to customize photo backdrops July 2019

Have you ever wanted to customize a Photo that you had for a backdrop. I show you one way using LARC Product, Photo backdrop to create a backdrop by combining two of the backdrops in to one. This can be used with your own photos or the LARC Product. Here are the links to the two products that I used but this should get you thinking what you can do for your railroad.

Sensor Part Minus 1

Is is a Video on sensors, this is about types of sensors that can be used on both DC or DCC. If you ever wanted to do sensors or add block occupier light on you control panel this is part one of or minus 1. ( I did one last month but this will be a broader look at sensors.) I look at more types but the 4 shown here I think are the most useful. 3 can be used on DC and DCC one is for DCC alone.

Hope this is helpful if you are looking into sensors and what can I use.
