Hi it's been a busy few years working on the layout and developing a club around the layout.

The Surf Line has been completed from LA to San Diego, and the AV Line has been connected to Mojave.  Scenery is now in progress there.  Eventually we will connect all the levels having a straight run-through from San Diego to Seattle on the top deck. 

One of our best turn outs yet. Lots of good trains, good food, and fun! Come along for the ride!

This month's op session was well attended and another excellent variety of model trains was run over the layout.

I'm not always the best at coming back to look at comments here, but I was surprised how misunderstood my track cleaning video was from the comments. 

I've been posting some how-to videos on youtube and hadn't shared them to my blog yet.  They are nowhere near as good as Luke Towan, but going for some easy and inexpensive ways to do things and sharing hobby tricks that I've found work over time.

For those of you following my HOn3 layout we got together for the annual op session this past weekend. 

In addition to my SPNG equipment and blackstone models the guys brought some beautiful brass and printed locomotives and rolling stock.

We decided to have a competition this year, for the silliest April Fools Train.  Good ol' fashioned fun ensued!  Not to mention the gang brought some pretty awesome trains to run on the layout.  Hope you enjoy!

Basic scenery is done with the exception of finishing the Greenville depot.  This is the final monthly run of the year before our open house nights begin in December.  We again had a great mix of eras and consists!
