We decided to have a competition this year, for the silliest April Fools Train.  Good ol' fashioned fun ensued!  Not to mention the gang brought some pretty awesome trains to run on the layout.  Hope you enjoy!

This Just in... New MRH Publication: Running Late - 3rd Section

Joe Fugate, noted author and publisher of Model Railroad Hobbyist and MRH Running Extra has scooped the Model Railroad online publishing industry once again by offering his latest publication: Running Late -  3rd Section. 3rd Section will include detailed analysis of every mistake ever made by noted modelers around the US, and include specific opinions about everything they have ever done wrong modeling -- poor construction, bad pint jobs, crooked track, lack of concern for 72 hour operating sessions, use of Marx models next to brass, crooked lettering, incorrect coupler height, tangled unlabeled wiring, using DCC locos on DC track, incandescent lighting, and much, much more! This innovative edition will be offered perpetually totally free by special encrypted subscription to protect authors identities. However, there will be a small charge of NZ$10.00 via Bitcoin per sentence or sentence fragment thereof for all reader comments. This will require special bio readers to verify second level identification together with your 47 character password that must be changed monthly.

Anticipated first articles intend to cover:

"Modeling Only April 2, 1938 12:00 Noon Exactly" -- Removing the Need for Motors and The Best of Static Operation"

I would actually read that

I would actually read that just to support JoeF and all the happy gang.

Also can you add an article on "Building a Z-scale layout in a G-scale Gondola"?

I suggest all the articles be printed in a size matching their respective scale. Now you can fit an 87-page HO article onto a single page. Imagine all the savings on the download side.

NZ$10.00 is like 5 USD cents, right?

LMAO while ROTF!!

Thank youGeoff! Made my day.

I had a blowout and swerved off the road where there wasn’t a guardrail so the Company vehicle did a slow roll down the embankment and landed upright without setting off the airbag. Aside from a cracked rib, I had to call my office for a lift after released from the ambulance and having made a statement to the police. Rough day. Everyone was sympathetic until I was found lmao in the parking lot.  Nearly got clobbered by a banana!

Neil... And Geoff

Neil, Having just seen you healthy the above was a bit concerning... Until I got to the end.

Geoff - Zn2? My eyes!

...although I would take the functioning HO scale nuke plant. Be nice to take my power off the grid

Building a Z-scale layout in a G-scale Gondola

Z Gauge was too big and G a little small, so we went with T Gauge (1/450) on an Accucraft Fn3 (1/20.3) flat. Still a tight squeeze on a 20.5 in. (521 mm) x 5 in. (127 mm) surface.

Geoff, A Great Post

Geoff,

I got laughing so hard my eyes watered up and I couldn't read the screen. The wife ran in and said what are you laughing at?  She looked at the screen, said Oh train stuff, and walked away.   Well done Geoff.  Like Neil said, you made the day.  Thanks!
