MRR 1: That table in the middle of the room really cramps your imagination. If I it were mine I would go for around the walls on a shelf - then you could get more than twelve operators.

When Animals ATTACK.....

I had to store my Time Saver layout in the garage over the winter and this is what happened. Some animal got in and stayed a few weeks and he was eating the scenery. I think it was a squirrel....These photos are after I cleaned up the mess, but he/it even chewed up one of the vehicles. So.... BEWARE when Animals ATTACK.

Rumor - Centennial Airlines

There has been a rumor circulating for a while about Union Pacific starting a new heavy-haul freight service to minimize wear and tear on rails.

I'm sitting on my couch watching baseball and wondering "if I can use my iPhone to control my locomotives, why can't I change my tv channel with my iPhone. Is there an ap for channel control?

 It was showtime at the Hiller.

Silicon Valley Free-moN had our modules set up and trains running only to find...

ONLY ONE PASSING SIDING ON THE WHOLE LAYOUT????

We had over a week of show and the ability to run only two trains at a time?

What would happen next Sunday when the whole group showed up and wanted to run trains?
Draw straws?
Stand in line?

Something had to be done!

So I built (most of) a staging yard in (most of) a week.
