What's on your workbench - August 2014

Okay, it seems that the last Workbench thread has run it's course - Week #3 lasted 13 or so weeks, beyond even Week #4.

So, if nobody has any objections, I'd like to try one a month instead.

Drill Press for small bits

I'm looking at mini bench top drill presses for use for drilling small holes (up to #80) for various projects. Would a. A mini drill press and a dremel fine bit chuck work alright? Pay out for a precision chuck?

Gardner Bender Automatic Wire Stripper SE-92

Greetings,
I'm about to add some bench work to my layout and will be extending the DCC power bus. In the CVP EasyDcc manual there's mention of the above mentioned hand tool by Gardner Bender. I'm wondering if anyone has used their model SE-92 and what they think of it. The only review I've seen wasn't complimentary, but that's one guy's opinion. And is there a similar tool available that does the same thing?
Thanks for your input.

Drilling Carbon Fiber

I have been considering making trolley poles from round carbon fiber stock.  Has anyone had experience drilling .030 or smaller holes in this material?  Tell me the bad news before I buy something else to throw away.  Thanks in advance.

New arival at my home

A new modeling tool has arrived at my home. I had to build something to put it on.

There are three gallons of water in the bucket plus the water pump. That weighs about 25 pounds. It really

stressed the lower shelf, so I had to beef it up.
