How to form identical wire parts?

Is there a good way to make an assortment of wire parts, all identical?  I have no CLUE about the best way to do this.  I have some open platform passenger coaches that need the railings on the platforms.

Thanks!

"Pink lady" ballast - "free" source

Wanting to be a modeler of the C&NW, and a guy that values money over time (it comes from 10 years of being poor), I think I finally found a "free" source of Pink Lady ballast, and it's pretty close to the source.

Iconic Railroad Models

I just built this Kadee 'Bobber' caboose from a vintage kit I got on eBay years ago (parchment like instructions imply '62 on them):

It set me thinking about my youth when I first saw this model in magazines and being hugely taken with its atmospheric looks.
It's ironic that its taken me 45 years to get round to building one, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think it stands the test of time.

Two Videos of Brian Pate's HOn3 Klondike Mines and Standard gauge CPR layouts

Brian Pate has  long loved the industrial architecture of the Klondike, specifically the sternwheelers, dredges, placer equipment and railways used during the gold rush.  He and his wife Margaret have visited the Klondike on information expeditions many times and this research has helped him create the beautiful models of his Klondike Mines Rwy.  Brian used artistic license and both set the KMR after world war II – long after the original KMR had ceased operations – and also to imagine a world where the

New loco for Richlawn RR excursion route

On of the nice things about having my excursion track is that besides running doodlebugs on it I can pretty much run what I want (it's my railroad!)  So, can you guess from the picture below where the Mrs. and I were the last two weeks?  That's right - on an Alaskan Cruise to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary!  We took an Alaskan Cruise in 2005 for our 25th and enjoyed it so much that we returned.

Switching at Quisling CA

Here's a few snaps of some steam-era switching on my HO-scale Quisling module.  I usually run early-eighties SP power each month at the club, but back-dated things to 1954 for these pictures.

Thanks for looking.

Looking for these loco in HO scale

Hello. I am looking for the following locomotive (Electric) in HO scale. I have no idea where to start. It can be safely assume that these loco, as they were, do not exist in HO scale, however I am willing to do some "tweaking" such has: installing pantograph, new paint, and some minor mods to have a final product that would look fairly close to these two very different type (pictures below).
