Has anyone had experience with the Walthers Street Sections

Has anyone had any experience with the Walthers Street sections? I am looking into them and was wondering if they are a good quality and easy to use/worth the money.

Photos

I have a couple of photos I want to put into What"s on your workbench. I tried to edit the photos to get them to the 800 size requested and see no way to do it.

I am using windows 10 photo program. Anybody that is willing to layout the steps for me, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks, Jack

First kit build attempts..

Took home two Accurail Center flow hoppers to work on today from the club meeting. As usual I forgot to take pictures (getting 6th graders to sit down and stop being grabby is harder than herding cats) with all the chaos, but here at home I got some. Overall it is a good kit but getting the detail parts in was a pain and a screwdriver/drill is a useful tool for making them larger.

EDIT: Changed name since adding more cars.

Old UTLX Prints

My Grandparents have some old items from their father who worked for UTLX. I am not sure if they will be worth anything but they are simillar to postcards though slightly larger and have different photos/printed paintings of UTLX tank cars. I believe they only were available to older staff as I can not find them anywhere online. If anyone has information on these I would greatly appreciate it (sorry not photos at this time)

Model Railroad Hobbyist Magazine mentioned in September 2015 L&N magazine on John Wilkes layout

The L&N Magazine is a publication of the Louisville and Nashville Historical Society and is a fine magazine worth reading even if you're not a big fan (which I am!) of the L&N.  The September 2015 issue features the excellent layout of John Wilkes and mentions MRH magazine.  On page 21 it states: "Our first feature comes from John Wilkes of Winter Haven, Florida.  John is a NMRA Master Model Railroader and has been active in modeling since the mid - 1960s.

A shout-out for prompt service

Accurail!

I bought a 3 car set where 1 car had a wrong sprue included - now, less than 24 hours later a replacement is rushing across the atlantic. No fuss, only one question asked: shipping adress.

I couldn't be happier with the effort made.

Stem whistle in Jackson georgia

While working in Jackson ga today I heard a steam whistle. The sound came from the downtown area and moved from west to east. Does anyone know if a steam engine went through there today?

Who do you use to host your pictures? I have used Photobucket but not in well over a year.

Are there other options?

Museum Of Science and Industry Items Being Auctioned Off

I have some news that the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago has some items being auctioned off. I am actually quite disappointed at this as they have been there since they opened (I believe). Below are photos of the items and links to the websites. I am not sure what everyone else thinks about this though in my opinion i don't think it should happen. (not that I know what we could do)
