Fascia Label Conundrum

I am thinking about how I want to do my fascia labels, and running into a bit of a conundrum, or perhaps just something I don't have my own opinion/solution on due to lack of much operating experience.

I want to include on my fascia labels with town names, tracks, and with bi-color LEDs for the turnout positions.  But my use of space is such that there can be quite a lot of space between turnouts in a town.

Take the small stop of North Hampton, shown here from the track plan:

MEMS speaker technology advances - Sound in N and Z scale coming?

I just read an article on new speaker technology that is able to produce simpler, smaller and lower energy speakers. I'm excited to see how that could bring sound to N and Z scale locomotives amongst other potential uses on our layouts.

Adding weight to tender

Hello, I have a vintage ahm/rivarossi 4-4-0 with a tender drive. I have noticed that often when it goes around the curves the tender seems to slide up the pole it is attached to, which makes it stop as it comes off the tracks.  I opened up the tender and could not find anywhere to add some weights. Any suggestions?

3d Printing

Does anyone have any experience designing and then having printed 3d parts at the N scale type sizes.  I have an idea for making the signal parts that I need for my layout via 3d printing, but I dont have my own printer (yet) so I am interested in what I need to use to make them IN, as well as where to get them printed.  Any suggestions would be very helpful

Standing Workbench

What do you guys think of a standing workbench? I have one now at 48", and it's great for rolling stock kits, mechanical repairs, DCC decoder installations, and I have my layout PC there as well. I'm thinking I will eventually need a sitting workbench though for more time-intensive and detail-oriented tasks, but I want to build a new standing workbench as well, since it's easy to grab something, bring it over, work on it for a bit, go back over to the layout, etc, without having to sit and stand and sit and stand over and over again.

Enhancing Model Power 250 ft crane

Looking for ideas to enhance the look of this crane in regards to details.

So far I have weathered it and put some brass grab irons on it.

Harold Minkwitz

Did anyone know that Harold Minkwitz passed away? I heard this a month ago but could not confirm it and it showed up to day on the Early Rail Groups.io list.

Seems his wife is asking if anyone would like to have any of his collection.

He will be missed.
