Waybill Boxes

Hi all-

Train length and layout planning

There’s an interesting discussion on another board about train length which I thought I’d bring over here to see what the local’s opinions are. I know it’s a rather broad and subjective opinion so I thought I’d first compile a basic set of core questions that would have to be answered to stimulate the discussion (hopefully!)

Prototype Photos - East Broadtop

I finally made the pilgramage to Orbisonia, Pennsylvania on Saturday and grabbed a few photographs. I'm in the planning stages of a narrow gauge shelf layout and this is all fodder for muse.

Questions, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Are there any ON30 modelers in the Falls Church, Virginia area?

The same picture of the CNJ Bronx Terminal, taken 73 years apart. The black and white image was found in the New York City archives, taken in 1936, the colour version I took last week.

Hartford Train Show - A quick turn

It was just 2 hours (150 miles, four different states) from my house to the convention center, a route that followed the old Central Vermont for most of they way, so It was perfect for a quick turn down and back.

I was fortunate to meet Joe in person, as well as fellow forum member Randy. We tried not to occupy too much of Joe's time, as he was busy getting his message out, but it was a true pleasure to make his aquaitence in person.

Here's Joe working his magic in front of the MRH booth
