Help with a lights only decoder
Hello all,
I am about to attempt to add a TCS lights only decoder to a loco with an existing decoder. I plan to use the TCS for the rear ditch lights that are currently attached to the rear headlight. I would like to have the ditch lights flash when the horn is sounded just like the current decoder works, but am a little fuzzy when it comes to the CV programming. Any suggestions or hints would be greatly appreciated.

Blog Facelift
The MRH blog option is nice because true to their motto it's forever free. But if you have a domain name and a host it is really hard to beat WordPress for functionality. I gave my blog site a much needed facelift today. As easy as installing a new theme and a little tinkering with it to get a brand new look for the home of the LK&O Railroad.

Red Caboose Hobbies
I had the great fortune of spending most of last week in NYC, deep in the heart of Manhattan. While it was a work trip, I did manage to walk up to the Red Caboose hobby shop to take a gander.
rolling stock boxes
I am just wondering if people save their rolling stock boxes. I have 374 pieces on the layout and I think I should throw out the boxes. Can anyone offer a reason not to?
Any train modelers in Guadalajara Mexico
Recently retired to Guadalajara and have been looking for other model railroaders around here. So far no luck. Have found one hobby shop with some limited supplies for trains but they didn't seem to know any other english speaking ex-pats in the area. I model in N-scale, but would welcome contact with anyone in any scale to talk trains, to round robin, or maybe even begin to think about modules.
Thanks,
Bill
Steel Groups+
Don has posted some great photos of his steel mill, and I thought it an opportune time to mention some groups out there that can help others. These are generally industry specific and most are for model railroaders.

Bachmann Shay 80-ton HOn3 Conversion Kit
I just received an email from Dave at NWSL. He has modified one and has it running and doing test.
This is a project for ADVANCED modelers.

Can BRAGDON 3 ft. long Molds be filled with hydrocal AFTER placing mold on Mt. face?
I haven't ever seen this demonstrated on DVDs or in books. Is it possible to attatch a Bragdon 3'X18" mold to the plaster clothed mountain face in a "pocket" shape and then pour very wet hydrocal, dental plaster into the mold from the top without having to flip the filled mold up and into place (standard small mold method)? Back fill 'em?
