What pictures would you like to see of the Georgetown & Allen Mountain Railroad?

OK kids - I'm going to be visiting my good friend Michael Rose this week and seeing his excellent Georgetown & Allen Mountain Railroad.  I'll have my iphone with camera, so if there are any pictures that you would like me to get (no, not the elusive elves!) I'll be glad to get them - with Michael's permission of course.  Speak now or forever hold your peace!wink

Layout Lighting Issues WAS: 5000K vs 6000K Lights

FIRST POST:

I originally had planned on using 6000-6500K Light Bubls (Full Daylight) for the Interim P&A.  For Aisle lights I'm using T8 Florescent tubes, for the layout deck lighting I had originally planned on using 6500K CFL Light Bubls.  Becaues of the heat the base of the bulbs creates, I changed my mind and decided to use LED light Bubls.

Whatever happen to M.C. Fujiwara?

Anybody know where M.C. Fujiwara is or has been doing. I really miss his modeling posts!

Den,

1940s America color photos online

The Denver Post has a nice feature of about 70 color photographs from America in the 40s. Great source photos, since most images from that era are b+w.  Here is the link:

http://blogs.denverpost.com/captured/2010/07/26/captured-america-in-color-from-1939-1943/2363/

The link suggests this is several years old, so maybe this has already been linked here.-

Model Railroader Video Plus--How long is their average video?

Now that it's been around for a while I thought I might reconsider it but then realized I have no idea how much information I'd get out of any one video.  One crude (and perhaps less than perfect) measure of that would be to consider their length.  Can't see much value if each is only a few minutes long...  For those who may have access to it, what is your impression at this point and what is the approximate length they shoot for?

What Happened to the 2guyz Forum

Hi, I Fred Miller and was co owner of the 2guyzandsumtrains forum.  I'm sorry it died, but last spring (2013) I went to the ER with bad stomach pains.  I has appendicitis and went to surgery where I was improperly ventilated and  I didn't wake up.  I was on a respirator and in a coma for a bit over 4 months.   At one point the doctor told my wife I would never wake up, but I did.  I was transferred to a long term hospital and they got me off the vent and I was sent to a nursing home.  I stayed there for 8 months healing a bd bed sore I got in

Looking for old LL, MP "shorty" Passenger cars

Hello all. I am wanting to add some passenger cars to my layout. Here is the catch: I don't have a lot of funds laying around.  I have two OLD Life-Like passenger cars (60' scale length, train set quality) that I am working on fixing up to higher quality models. So far so good with the working on them.. But, I need to find more.

electronic simulation software

Is there any software for simulating electronic projects before building? I've seen some that would be useful for logic and digital circuits but what I seek is something I could put in a schematic to see if it works. Like if I did a circuit for example of cross buck flashers and entered the schematic. Added simulated power supply would the LEDs on my schematic blink?
