Acrylic thinning for air brush

I have done some research on Acrylic thinning for air brushing, I am getting a mixed bag of findings..Some swear off using Isopropanol yet I find it as an ingredient in many home made recipes on line...I saw a post on Armor all and how it changed its formula to include isopropanol and Joe says "good bye Armor All"  .

Any eBid Users?

Seems after the last round of changes at Ebay there might be an exodus of many sellers.

With that being said I know our hobby is as much of finding those old deals on items released in years past vs new pre-order stuff.

I was looking around for an alternative, eBid came up and it looks similar to the earlier days of Ebay.

Granted I have been on Ebay for almost two decades so anything else looks and feels very different/wrong to me.

Paint recommedations @Joe

@Joe,

Vallejo paint recommendations. I am in the process of updating my paint supplies. I have mostly tamiya, polyscale and some testors. I want to get into the vallejo line of paints. I will be both airbrushing as well as brush painting things. Does model air work ok for brush painting? Is there a set you could recommend that I can buy to give me a supply of assorted paints to get me started?

Many thanks.

Randy.

Railroad Magazine Index

After Kalmbach Publishing's Train Magazine Index went permanently offline a few weeks back, we started this little project on the side.  It's now to a state where we wanted to open it up to a wider audience for some real "stress testing":

Disposing of estate trains

We had that big discussion a month or so ago about what will happen to the trains after were looking at the bottom side of the daisys.  Here's one that came to me recently.  I don't know the back story, it is from a coworker's father in law and he has been gone for years.  That is all I know.

Loooow budget thin foil details for a Box Car

Hi! Few days back I was working on an auto parts Box Car trying to improve the interior. As many of the box car on the market, this atlas comes with no detail at all on interior walls or doors, so; geting inspired with one work I saw here (crushed cars) I've decided to make this interior details with thin foil. I hope this could be useful for all of you.

Heres the process:
