Curing cabinet plastic safe heat/time mindfulness

Greetings and Salutations.

I wonder if anyone here has any experience with a curing/paint drying cabinet?

there are a couple of well rated units that can be set for specific times and temperatures.I believe that they are used for plastic models as well as brass models and other practices with scenery such as making tunnel portals out of plaster and walls of various kinds.
it is basically an integrated warm air convection system which circulates warm air around the model of choice.

Walthers Switch Machine - Powering the Frog

Thanks to the very informative description provided here by Prof (thanks Prof!!!), I thought I understood how to power my frogs using the Walthers switch machine.

Alas, I am doing something very wrong because the frog's power source is not changing to match the routing of the switch.

A little background...

-I am using HO scale Fast Tracks turnouts that I have built and tested.

Terry Terrance ?

I was looking to communicate with Terry Terrance regarding 2R O-Scale, specifically, conversions from 3R to 2R and adding DCC.  Does anyone know how to get ahold of him?

Thanks

Car Weights

Somewhere, someplace I saw a downloadable chart/diagram that showed HO car lengths, I think in 6 inch increments, that allowed you to hold your model up to the chart and that length was converted to the proper weight per NMRA standards. Some folks had this chart laminated and attached to their work bench for quick weight calculations. Can someone please pass along the website address or where this chart is available? Thanks....John

Weekly Photo Fun - Sep 26 - Oct 2, 2021

It's another week . . . post 'em if you got 'em.

Save a backup for your photos in case we have to recreate this week's WPF at the new forum!

Acme Markets trailers

For many years Acme Markets in the Philadelphia area used to get their meat products from the Mid West in refrigerated 40' trailers . The trailers were carried head out on the PRR TT-2 EB and remained on the RR through PC and early Conrail. The trailers had the Acme markets logo on them. Micro Scale now offers the decals but I can't find any pictures of the location of the reefer unit. Was it a nose or belly mount ? Also I believe they had a curb side door. Thanks for any help. ----- Ken

What is a paint booth?

Yes, I DO know what a paint booth is.smiley

The real question, is why are they so fancy and spendy, and why can't I just use an old box?

question on finish paint coats - dull coat or clear flat?

Hi all, again back at the hobby after a long layoff. I'm going to be painting some structures soon. During my hiatus of many years, it seems that Pollyscale has gone out of business!  Sad, i liked their paints. I am planning to use Modelflex by Badger as it seems most reliable and affordable acrylic substitute. However, they offer two different final coating "flat" paints - "Railroad Colors Clear Flat" and "Marine Colors Dull Coat".  Which of these should i use for a final airbrush coat for flattening the appearance of the final paint job?
