October MRH and Running Extra -- coming Oct 4 & 5
Okay, looks like October 3rd for the release of MRH and October 4th for Running Extra. Make that Oct 4th for MRH and Oct 5th for RE.
UPDATE: Didn't help that on top OF a sinus infection and ear infection (and in a round of antibiotics for this), I caught a head cold too boot. Yuk, been horizontal a lot, but feeling better today.
MRH should be out tonight (Oct 4) and RE tomorrow (Oct 5).
We were on target for an Oct 1 rollout until we kicked off the TMTV migration on Sept 16.
Where Are Those RR Ads?
I've read several times now that advertisers are abandoning traditional advertising in magazines such as MRH, MR, RMC, etc. The story goes that these advertisers are getting more and better exposure on the internet via social media. I do a bit of reading on Facebook (several railroad related groups, and a few friends), but that's about it.
Not once have I seen a model railroad ad outside of a hobby publication. Obviously I'm not in the "right place". So where are all these model railroads ads being seen?

JMRI 64 bit
Can I run JMRI using Windows 10 with 64 bit or do I have to change to 32 bit? I seen somewhere that 10 will convert.

Thinner to make acrylic paint act like enamel wash?
I'm sure I read something recently (perhaps in the last year) on MRH about a specific thinner that makes washes made with acrylic paints act more like enamel washes.
However I've gone over the last bunch of issues that I downloaded and can't find anything. I am a Running Extra subscriber, but I checked there as well.
Does anyone else recall this, or am I completely mis-remembering?
September issue release: MRH is out, RE coming this evening
Looking to release MRH right after the holiday, which would be Tue, Sep 3rd. ***it's now out***
Running Extra will come out a day later, Wed, Sep 4th. ***look for it later WED evening ***
The holiday weekend is delaying the release by a few days. Recently we've been targeting the first of the month, but with the holiday that's been delayed this time.
