Layout tour
Trackwork now mostly complete on my 009 layout
Today I recorded a new episode of News from my modelrailway room. These time entirely focused on my 009 Isle of Skye Railway.
Randy Lee Decker's Great Divide Lines John Allen tribute
Randy Lee Decker has embarked on modeling a 95% accurate replica of John Allen's third layout. Randy's background is in museum display work and he's approaching this project as another of his museum projects.
That means this layout is a serious "replica" of John Allen's famous layout, almost board for board, stick for stick -- but not quite. Randy will be using more modern technology in his replica -- like high fidelity flex track, Kadee couplers, and DCC. Plus he's making a few "improvements" or "corrections" to John's design -- but only a few. Randy can talk about those.
Platform construction on my narrow gauge Isle of Skye Railway
During the last two weeks I spend some time on my small modular narrow gauge layout. First I built the stationbuilding, which is made from two Wills kits, which I joined together. The yesterday I started with the construction of the platform. But before these could start I had to think about the turnout at the end of my station because the Caboose Industries switchthrows would interfere with the platform. So after some thinking I came to the conclusion to modifiy the switchthrow. Now I can't use the bar on top of it to change the turnout, but the polaritiyswitch still could be used.
Continuing on the backdrop
Hello,
during the last two weeks I built the backdrop for the Lochdubh part of my layout. And here is the result.

Southern Pacific's Jefferson Branch
This is the blog for my Southern Pacific's Jefferson Branch of Klamath Subdivision in Northern California. The Klamath Subdivision is proto-lanced line for my dream layout and the Jefferson Branch is a totally freelanced branch for the layout space I was able to get. This allows me to attempt to capture the flavor I want in the space I have...........
Allagash Railfan films coming to TMTV and MRH!
Hey guys/gals
In another thread Joe made mention of a new Allagash video coming to TMTV and to the MRH Store in September. I wanted to give you some more details.
I want to emphasize that beginning with the to-be-released video to TMTV, I'm on a path toward recording every corner of the railroad from the perspective of a railfan. I started to do this a few years ago with a two-part Allagash Railfan Video Series, but I feel very confident in saying that this recent effort takes things to the next level..
