The Viaduct crossing

Here is a little update on my Layout , i have named the Louisville & Northern , Based on a branch division somewhere in Central /southern Indiana and Northern KY area.

here is a few pics of the viaduct  as it is right now, i used Aluminum Square tube  and flat bar, next step is to add the details to give it the Iron plate style appearance hopefully i will have a few viaduct towers to add underneath, before painting

it also is a left hinged  lift up for  when i dont feel like ducking under

Chippewa, Marquette, St. Charles and Pacific Layout Pics

Since Joe asked for some layout pics in a previous post I though I would make a new entry. As with most layouts the Chippewa is under construction.

The picture below is base on the old Kate Shelly bridge her in Iowa. It was constructed from Evergreen Models structural shapes (ordered in bulk). It is 14.5 ft long and stands 60 inches off the floor so the center can be used as a duck under. This took about a year to build.

First Time Poster - Pacific Coast Railroad

I've never posted to MRH before, but I do get a lot of benefit from the publication and would like to start participating. I'll leave a few photos of my layout to start.

It's a freelanced California line supported mainly by coastal logging. It would have been located a little bit south of the California Western and routed approximately parallel to that line from Albion on the coast to Laughlin where it interchanged up with the Northwestern Pacific. The year is 1928.

Glacier switching layout/module

It's been a while since I created a post here, but I've been busy building a switching module that can double as a small interchange when used in larger modular layout.
