Modern (post 1980) Office / Apartment Building Kit?
Hi,
I am building a 3' x 4' urban traction (trolley/tram/light rail) module in HO. It will be basic double track (street track from Steve Smith / shapeways / https://www.shapeways.com/shops/DESIGNDYNE ) loop with an intersection turnouts (from Reichert / Proto87 Stores) that allows cars to stay in the loop or go to other modules. The inside of the loop will be a city block. I am looking for modern (ideally post 1980) office or apartment building(s) to put on the block with some older style structures.
New Allagash / ESU LokSound videos posted
Guys,
Matt Herman has posted a couple of new videos to the ESU/LokSound website featuring trains from last weekend's Allagash op. session which Matt attended. Several terrific LokSound sound files are featured.

**ProtoThrottle pre-orders extended…
We’re excited about the great response to our pre-order signup so far. In less than one week we have sold almost the entire allotment of 150 throttles. Because of this great response, we will be expanding the number of throttles eligible for the discount ($449) by an additional 50 units.

Grade crossing crossbuck made with 3D-printed jigs
3D printing isn't just for items you see. It's also good for making jigs to file and align parts. Two are needed: one for filing dados into the sign post while the other is to align the post, sign blades and (if needed) multiple track sign. This one is in HO for a Santa Fe prototype suitable for the '30s and '40s.
Getting quality sound with Bluetooth technology
I would like to equip my sound decoder locomotives with Bluetooth modules to transmit the sound to an old computer speaker with sub-woofer to get enhanced sound. I began my quest with a Broadway Limited SW-7 with Paragon 2 sound DCC decoder. I wired a 3.5mm plug to the speaker wires and plugged in a 41mmx32mmx9mm transceiver and I had big sound. Now DigiKey and Mouser carry large varieties of modules of a more reasonable size around 16mmx9mmx3mm (that transceiver rides on the running boards and is taller than the smokestack).
Crossover Help
Looking for ideas, I have this Double Crossover coming out of my staging yard and need to control it. Ive seen some pictures in the past of people using RC linkage to control the switches, can anybody share with mw how they did it?

Just got an order from Fast Tracks, soon I will be starting construction of turnouts for my layout.
Before I get going I just wanted some feedback from those who have already been down this road.

A Model Railroad Discord?
Would there be any interest in a model railroad discord. For those that dont know discord is a site that allows chat style talk andthe ability to make your own servers. I would include channels for things most topics but dont want to go and make one and have no one join it. So whdaya all think any interest?
