Painting and finishing techniques of the Roundhouse
Hi! I´m presenting some of my painting and weathering techniques for brick wall buildings.

I need some help from the electronic wizos like Dr Bunza........
.....for a project for my friends still using DC. Miniatronics sells a constant intensity light circuit that work very well but uses incandescent bulbs. I would like to substitute LEDs. I do not believe they will work with this circuit as they are polarity sensitive where incandescent bulbs are not.
is there an easy way to do this? My friends are in O scale so super small size is not an issue.
Thanking you in advance.

How do I install a keep-alive in the new Atlas S4 with a 21-pin decoder?
Hello,
I’ve sent Atlas two emails about this with no response, and my Google searches have been fruitless, so i’m hoping someone on this forum can help me out...

Spring Cleaning in My Hobby Room, and Other Thoughts on Minimalism
I think model railroading is best enjoyed in a clean, organized space, and I decided to do some spring cleaning in my hobby room, on my work bench, and in my collection in general to better align with that belief.
Here's how the room looks now:

Can You Buy Your Own Train? Here’s What It Takes - CityLab article
I read this article and thought it was amusing. Although I doubt I would ever own rail cars and travel like this, but who knows...there's always the lottery.

Time Table Planner
I have added a downloadable copy of my timetable planner MS Excel spreadsheet to my web page.
If you want to create your own timetable, you can enter a start time for each train, the running time between stations and the dwell time at each station and the spreadsheet will automatically generate a schedule.

I thought we were a hobby of... (Rule 1: it's my layout, Rule 2:see Rule 1)
"It's your layout, do what you want"?
I have a proto-freelanced layout that I'm slowing building. I keep at it and don't care if the magazines or surveys or anything else agrees with my layout. So long as the supplies I need from the hobby manufacturers, the hardware stores, and places like Amazon, ebay, and Shapeways (to name a very few number of places) keep supplying what I need, that's all I need.
The Next Project
While I'm waiting for my recent hobby shop order to be filled and mailed, I thought I would start on the next project. Two things I always have on my layouts are a dog park and a trailer park.
I have seen HO Scale models of mobile homes but to me, they are way to bulky. I would much rather scratchbuild the ones that I need.
