My N scale modules Meesville and New Eastbrook

As a member of the Dutch modular model railroad club the PH&LF Railroad Association I made several modules. My main two module sets are Meesville and New Eastbrook. Both are a work in progress whereas Meesville is the most complete scene.

With this blog I will give every now and then an update on my building progress. For the buildings on the modules I try to make as much as possible my own scratchbuild buildings.

To start two pictures of both module sets in current state.

Meesville:

Drawing of UTLX Narrow Frame Tank car wanted

I'm looking for some scale drawings of a Narrow Gauge "UTLX narrow frame tank car". Anyone know where I might find such a thing? I am thinking about scratchbuilding one or several.

Thanks,

Where is Jim Brown - I have a lot of brick streets to lay

I'm spending a lot of time on the streets at the moment. And I will confess to being a little concerned about how much still lies ahead of me.

"The road goes ever on and on..." Tolkien wrote and when I look at my plan of Green Town Illinois and consider how many miles of brick streets there are to model; "on and on" is about right if you multiply that by the nth degree.

Bachmann S-2 frame + Atlas S-2 shell

I was wondering if anyone here has tried and/or had success with mating the old Atlas S-2/S4 shell to the new Bachmann ALCO S-2 fame w/sound? I know Atlas will be releasing a newly tooled S-unit with sound EVENTUALLY, but I have a line on both the Bachmann and Atlas engines NOW, and at good prices, but I also don't want to get stuck with them if the idea doesn't work. I don't mind putting in a little work (grind, file, cut) to fit them together, but I don't want to risk destroying them either, know what I mean?

DPDT to Rotary switch for turnout control

Giday Folks

I am in the process of installing a few of the Proto 87 Moles on my layout for my turnout controls. I had full intentions of using a DPDT switch to operate the machines but am now considering using a rotary switch instead. I could use these to better show the direction of the turnout. My problem is in order to do this I have no idea what type of rotary switch to buy or the proper pin arrangement to wire it. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance

Allan
