Using JMRI Operations - A worked example - Part 2

This is the second installment of my blog about learning to use JMRI Operations to create the manifests to operate Lance Mindheim’s bakery turn. If you have not read the first part, I encourage you to do so here.

In this posting, I want to expand on the previous work by adding more car types to the mix. The bakery is capable of handling 1 grain hopper, 4 tank cars and 5 box cars.

I also want to apologize to the Moderators for forgetting about the small first post rule. Thanks for fixing it.

Switching layout

Hi!

I model H0 and I´m in the design process of an industrial layout but space is tight, so I don´t want a main line.

Does anyone have an industrial layout with no main track?

RAIL FANNING THE PEAVINE 2

to all.. here the video clips from the second part of my rail fanning day. the battery in my camera was going low so these clips are cut short. it seems like all the are doing is going back & forth but there are several moves going on. we were not allowed on "Cal gases" property so i couldn't' get the spotting of the cars in the complex.

by the end of the day the crew moved more than 100 cars

enjoy the vid

Choosing The Correct Sound Decoder

Guys, I am trying to determine which Tsunami Sound decoder to choose for my Atlas GP-38, CP #3008.

I think I have figured out on my own that it was powered by an EMD 645 but there are two versions in the Litchfield catalog to choose from, 2nd Gen Turbo and 2nd Gen NonTurbo.  Does anyone know, or can anyone advise me as to how I could figure out for myself, if #3008 was turbo-charged or not?
