Modeling topic

How much do we really have packed away.
Hi there, this is my first blog post but have been reading the magazine since the first addition. I model American Prototype mainly CSX and its predecessors as well a bit of Conrail ad Norfolk Southern. Since I live in Australia I all so model Australian prototype using the same layout just swapping loco's and rolling stock to suit the prototype I every 3 to 4 months.
Hand made Aluminum tracks for garden HO Scale layout
Hi all,
I am new to the forum posting. However I have enjoyed MRH PDFs since long.
I have this plan of hand making aluminum tracks for HO scale garden layout.
I know HO is not for gardens but I want to try it.
Why aluminum-three reasons:
1) Aluminum conducts even if its coated with aluminum oxide
2) Aluminum is resistant to elements

FREIGHT HOUSES
Hi everybody
I have almost finished my first layout, but some buildings are still lacking particularly the freight house.
Since I'd like scratchbuild it, I'm looking for some drawings or similar.
Can somebody help me?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Greetings from Italy

2nd Athearn Crane DCC Controled
Almost done with the second crane build. This one will have 3 NCE decoders to animate the turret, boom and big hook. I just need to add a second set of pick-ups to the second truck and add the small hook. Then it's off to a good friend of mine Jim Otto of http://Ottovation.net to have three NCE decoders installed and tested.
Here's a pic of what it looks like up to this point.

New guy, need help
I have 200 engines and 400 pieces rolling stock in various conditions I inherited 20 yrs ago from my grandfather. i live in Powell River B.C. so getting help with identifying them is next to impossible. I am moving in the next few years and need to start selling off the trains. I'd like them to go somewhere they'd be used as they were his pride and joy, and I spent many weekends as a child playing with them

Weathering a vehicle...
Here is my first attempt at weathering a vehicle, this is a Herpa "Trucks of America" Kenworth prime mover, coupled to CNW Trailer (Athearn).
I only wanted a very light weathering to take the plastic shine off the prime mover, but once I had done that there was no way the trailer was getting away with looking so shiny and brand new!
