Locos - Rolling stock (general)

Custom painters?

I got some 6 Ho pullman sleepers.  What I really want to find is someone to put a base coat of IC brown on them for me, but without breaking the bank (one place I found wanted 240$ per car).  Anyone got any recommendations?

My projects

This project has been on my mind for quite some time. About ten years ago my grandfather passed away and my father and I inherited his stable of german locos and cars in H0 scale. We enjoyed running them on the São Paulo Model Railway club (Sociedade Brasileira de Ferromodelismo), but since I went to University they sat on our shelves (and I dont mean Shelf Layout), until I got a job and decided to build a layout, but for that I bought a NCE powercab.

ALCO and MLW models

Hello all,

I'm interested for some Greek diesel locos from Alco. The model  numbers according to wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ALCO_diesel_locomotives) are DL537/ DL543 and MLW MX627/MX636. I'm wondering if I can find in US e-shops the undecorated chassis and bogies of these locos.

thanks

Now that Rapido is shipping out there Canadian sets, how do those who received them like them.

Does the FP9 meet expectations?

How well do the passenger cars perform?

What do you think of the finish of the passenger cars?

Would you have bought the set now that you know what it is like,

Hello, I have two N scale steam engines that are identical. One has vinyl tubing that connects the motor rod to the rod that connects with worm gear and gear housing shown here:

Trucks & brake wheels

Been wondering about era specific trucks and brake wheels for rolling stock. One of my modeling interests is a 1910-1920 era logging line. I've been trying to research the kinds of trucks and brake wheels that would be appropriate for such rolling stock, which in some cases would already be outdated and obsolete as compared to Class I railroads of the time. Web searches have not been very helpful in narrowing down specific types of trucks and brake wheels for specific time periods. I'm finding general info but need to narrow it down more.

Union Pacific Express Service Boxcar

i'm looking for an HO-scale, union pacific express service boxcar (painted harbor gray/armour yellow) bx-50-25.  i've searched the internet and found plenty of O-scale, but no HO.  the cars were used in conjunction with high speed passenger trains moving fresh produce.  i have one car (#9228) and have looked at the car for any kind of indentifying company marks, but found nothing.  any assistance would be appreciated
