Something to keep me busy - A diorama

I have recently dismantled my home layout while I was moving to a new city. I have not yet determined how much I can spare for the new layout.

I can still run trains since I remain a club member on my former city, but I fell I need something to improve my modeling skills.

So I decided to build a diorama, a completely non-rail related one, and set in my country/region for a change. I plan to display the diorama at my workplace, so I will model a rural scene (I work for the state agriculture department).

Currently there is thread discussing "MRH babies" ( http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/25489 ). My layout is most definetely one born after I began reading MRH, but so far I have never blogged about it for two reasons:

1- It is a chainsaw layout, designed from its beginning to be a skill development project, and then disposed of.

2- It is not US themed

In the "MRH Babies" thread Dave (user skillof) suggested that non-US themed layouts should be part of this forum, so here it is:

My projects

This project has been on my mind for quite some time. About ten years ago my grandfather passed away and my father and I inherited his stable of german locos and cars in H0 scale. We enjoyed running them on the São Paulo Model Railway club (Sociedade Brasileira de Ferromodelismo), but since I went to University they sat on our shelves (and I dont mean Shelf Layout), until I got a job and decided to build a layout, but for that I bought a NCE powercab.
