To Model an HO Coal Dock - Kitbash Walthers Ore Dock, scratchbuild or wait and hope for manufacturer - WITH FOLLOW UP ?'s
With the Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale Ore Dock being discontinued at Walthers, and the availabilty for sale of this kit rapidly dwindling, I need to decide quickly whether to buy the Walthers HO Ore Dock or not to kitbash it into Coal dock.
Telephone poles part 2
Hey friends,
today I did the second line of poles on my layout. Again, Rapido poles rebuild, with a repainting and weathering. This time using Ez wire copper (brown) fine for the lower stringing and black fine on the upper.
Adhesives terminology - ACC vs CA
I have some confusion about the use of the term "ACC" when used in a discussion or article about the use of a cyanoacrylate adhesive (CA). Where did the acronym ACC originate? It does not, IMHO, derive from cyanoacrylate. Is/Was it an acronym derived from a manufacturer of a cyanoacrylate product ? Perhaps I have not had the experience in the modeling arenas to have been exposed to this acronym. Is it a gel type formulation of CA ? Is it like the Slow Jet adhesive (as manufactured by Jet Glues ? (Not to be confused with Jet Blue )

EPT's O Scale blog - Passenger Depot Platform
On my station module I'm having a passenger depot with a platform. The platform is a low platform with its top of the deck at the same height as the top of the rails. The deck will be gravel with stained wood to surround the platform.
Designing the vertical
One aspect of this hobby that has always given me trouble is designing the vertical element of my layouts such as mountains roads etc. In the past I have always just sort of winged it and what ever came out was what I lived with.
Painting Sheep for My BlackStone Stock Cars
I finally Found some sheep for my stock cars and they each need painting as they are all pure white. Anybody ever see pure white Sheep other than Marys' ?
I have been looking for 3 years for sheep for my stock cars. A little more that 15 months ago I found 2 packs of 4 sheep each pre painted for $8.49 and said no way!! Some body out there has to make un-painted sheep in bulk for less money.
