Durango roundhouse wall kits - available again in HO and S
Monster Model Works yesterday announced they're re-producing their Durango roundhouse walls in HO scale and S scale for a limited time. Cost is $120 for HO scale and $170 for S scale. If you haven't seen Jimmy's brickwork, it is amazing quality.
Durango models for the D&RG or RGS layouts are hard to find, so these are work checking out if that's your prototype. Links and details:

With only a few more structures to complete on my re-creation of Rutland Yard in HO http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/11321 that many of you are familiar with over the last few years the time has come to start expanding and work on the next two scenes.
Suggestions for building roadside guard rails in HO?

Making a mountian from a mole hill - Misti Mountain on my previous Richlawn RR

Making the Old Look New Again
I have recently assumed the task of overseeing the enlivening of the scenery on our aging club layout. We have over 600 sq. ft. of surface scenery and hundreds of trees -- all of which are many years old. After a recent addition to the club facility, we are expanding the layout and want the older scenery to regain its liveliness when seen in conjunction with the newer scenery.
We have dusted, swept, vacuumed and brushed -- it still looks "weary!" Short of tearing out and replacing, any suggestions?
