Railserve Beverage Bottling Facility, Update #4

My main production building is finished.... well sort of...

I am really happy with achieving the look I was going for. All of the walls are Evergreen styrene sheets with various angle strips for corner flashing.

The roof is made out of balsa wood, covered with 80 grit sandpaper, and spray a flat black. It looks very convincing in person but way to "new" for this building. It still needs some weathering.

New layout space? HO 18' x 11'

Hey all I have the chance to get a brand new layout space that is 18' x 11'.  No windows, no pipes no other intrusions.  There will be one door on one of the 11' walls but I have the freedom to place the door anywhere in the wall, I can even have it swing out from the room so it's all on big plus.  I may even be able to stretch it to 19' or even 20' but the 11' is literally set in concrete.

Aberdeen Carolina and Western layout build

Hello all,

After 20 years in n scale I am switching to HO. I will be modeling the Aberdeen Carolina and Western in south central North Carolina. I am inspired by the works of Thomas Klimoski, Mike Confalone and Lance Mindheim.

My room is 12' long by 9' wide and squeezws down to 8' at the end. I will be using Digitrax Super Empire Builder,Atlas code 83 track and #6 turnouts. My benchwork is mostly 18" wide built on a grid with 2" foam cap.

Santa Fe 1st Arizona Sub under construction

Hello,

Work is progressing on my Santa Fe 1st Arizona Sub layout. The layout is in my double garage, which is insulated, and Gyprocked (dry-walled for my American friends). The layout is triple decked with the dreaded helix between each level, but that works for me to get the most out of yards and scenery. It is a representation of the Santa Fe mainline between Needles CA and Seligman AZ, 1951-1955.

Question about staging track arrangement

Please give me some feedback on these three options for my staging level (31" above the floor); or if there is another option I did not consider.

Ho Scale 4 x 8 layout of DOOM

Ok maybe Doom is bit of over exaggeration, but this plan was built to entertain, engage, and maybe confuse the general public. I was helping to start a model railroad and we wanted to build something to engage the public at shows, get them to stop so we could talk to them about a club. The goals were to build the standard 4' x 8' but with a twist. We wanted it be DCC controlled, have nice scenery and be able to have multiple trains running with only one operator.

Santa Fe - High Desert Division - Track Plan Update 7/8/18 (Now with replies - Sorry for the delay)

I have attached the current version of the track plan.  Please feel free to make suggestions on changes and such - its still a work in progress!!
