MRH Website general discussion

Litter, uh, see?

Those speel chuckers can't help  -  and I'll admit to fumble fingering the keys with great regularity, especially dyslexic spelling like hte or teh for "the", and despite that rarely using spell check,  but there is also the misuse of various homophones (for vs four vs fore,  or their vs they're, etc.) and some almost look alikes.  In just a few minutes reading this morning I've seen one of the usual suspects

Surroundtraxx. Anyone else successfully running?

I post this again because I would like to have contact with others actually using Surroundtraxx at this time December 2012.

I would be pleased to hear about other modelers' successes or frustrations with the Surroundtraxx experience. Doug Fredericton, N.B.

How many countries

are represented on the MRH forum?  Australia, Belgium/Brasil, Canada...I lost count away back, but the number must be getting up there.

Pictures of interior lighting wiring

I want to add interior and exterior lighting to a much of my urban layout. Over the last 6 months or more I have purchased a number of types of light bulbs; Model Power peel and stick, LED, grain of rice, and fiber optic.

Air Supply Regulation for Airbrush

Someone posted about airbrushes needing a well-regulated, constant supply of air-- and then mentioning piston vs pistonless compressor debates on other web sites-- and it got me wondering, why not just run the air from whatever compressor you have through an old tire tube, maybe stick a second valve on the thing at the opposite end. I'm thinking it oughta act for air something like a capacitor does for electricity and smooth out the supply? What do you think? Would it make a cheap & easy regulator?

MRH Staff - Re Updated forum posts

This is in no way a criticism, as I think the ezine and forum are great, but just a question for consideration.

I enjoy reading the forum posts and try to keep up daily.  In regards to post that are marked "Updated", is there a way to somehow mark or highlight the change?   I always end up going all the way through the thread but can't tell what was added or changed.  So if I am missing something please give a clue.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Any MRH members in the Naples Florida area?

I will be there next week for the entire week (12/8-15).  Thought it would be a nice opportunity to meet anyone with common interests.

EDIT: Hmm... didn't include my usual tag line...

Milt Spanton

etc, etc about Missabe

Nice Work, MRH!

I realize on any other site Slow Speeds would be cause for concern. Me personally, I see it as the sensation of success - the effect of 68,000 [or have we hit the big 7-0??!] people all hitting the site at once!

May there be Many More!!!

Central Florida Railroad Modelers visit on December 1, 2012

What to do when you don't have a layout yet and you need trains?  Well, last night I visited the Central Florida Railroad Modelers clubhouse.  Here's the link to their website:

And this link will take you to a wonderful cab ride around their layout:
