An Unfairy tale
(This is a reprint of an article from my late Richlawn Railroad website)
An Unfairy Tale
This is a fairy tale – or you could say and “Unfairy” tale for your amusement.
Once upon a time there was a model railroader called Mr. Boxcar. Now Mr. Boxcar was very active in the hobby, known by many modelers, and an official with the International Model Railroad Organization (IMRO). Now Mr. Boxcar was working on his accreditation as a Model Railroad Master (MRM) by going through the Acquirement Program (AP).
Scratchbuilt produce warehouse, for a change . . .
After 14 buildings for a paper mill, I decided to take a vacation from heavy industry for a while - and turn to agriculture (for the moment, at least). It came to my attention that my future Seattle & North Coast might benefit from some refrigerator car traffic, so a produce distributor seemed in order. (The real Pacific Fruit and Produce disappeared from S&NC territory a long time ago - but then, S&NC territory also disappeared a long time ago)!
MR's Great American Layouts DVD series
Yesterday I received a DVD from MR. It appears to be a rehash of Allen Keller's videos. However, it is marked as 2011 material. The price to keep it is $12.95. There are two layout per DVD. This one had Dick Elwell's Hoosiac Valley and Gil Freitag's Stony Creek & Western.
Anybody receiving this this? The videos seem to be old. I will be returning it.

Layout Tour - LV
Invited by a friend, and I'd like to share and update my layout with everyone as it progresses.
I am working on a layout of the Lehigh Valley Railroad, depicted from the late 60's and into today, had the Lehigh survived. I am trying to focus on the western areas, and have found that despite the huge size, the layout is never big enough....Buffalo, Geneva, and spots here and there.
I hope you enjoy it.
