Epson Ecotank printer and Micromark decal paper help

Hi all,

I am trying to print decals on Micro Mark decal paper (I have both clear and white) using a new Epson Ecotank ET-2750 printer.  It prints fine to regular paper but the printing just comes out as a blotchy mess on the decal paper.

Any tips or advice to make this work?

thx

Jeff

HO Wheels and Trucks

Hi All.

First:

Getting ready to order some wheelsets to replace ALL plastic wheels on the rolling stock I have on hand, and would like to have a good mix of ribbed vs smooth back wheels.

I will be modeling the early-to-mid 1960s. Approximate percentage of ribs to smooth?

CAB LIGHT on only when locomotive not moving

Hi. I was just wondering if you can program for example a cab light that will automatically turn off when locomotive starts moving, and when locomotive stops ( speed 0) the cab light will turn on . I am using mrc sound decoder. I do know how to program basic light functions but I can't find anything online about more advanced light programming . Thank you for any advice

Bachmann John Bull

Has anyone ever taken apart a Bachmann John Bull tender? (the tender has the motor in it)

I'm wondering if there is room inside for a Digitrax N scale sound decoder... I figure the speaker could be mounted on the back of the tender, if the decoder can be hidden inside.

Maybe, if that isn't an option, there's a way to mount the decoder on top, and disguise it, but disguise it as what? Maybe something covered with a tarp? (medical tape, painted, makes the perfect HO scale burlap tarp... "Long May the Burlap Wave", and all that)

Passenger Equipment

Okay... so I'm investigating developing a new track plan for the "Ozark Sub" portion of my freelanced Kansas City & Gulf theme the I've used as my modeling theme before. As is always the case, even with my new out building: Space is at a premium.

As we all know, the confines our layouts must dwell within, typically means that curves are inescapable.

Upgrading HOn3 La Belle D&RG Coach

I told the story earlier of how I got this kit free from my LHS. What it needs is some new parts that are closer to today"s quality. The issue is that San Juan Model Co is not up and running yet. (new owners of Grandt Line) And Precision Scale also has new owners and they aren't up and running yet either. So who has HOn3 car parts, passenger and freight?

Installing sound decoder in blue box Proto 2000 GP9 question

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I'm going to be doing my first DCC sound decoder install on an older blue box DCC ready Proto2000 GP9. I'd like to either install an 8 pin PNP ESU Loksound Select or V4.0 decoder. I'll utilize a sugar cube speaker chamber in the car roof.

Replacement well car trucks

Good evening all,

I recently purchased a set of the Atlas Thrall 53' articulated well cars on eBay but the set does not have trucks or couplers included. I want to get the right trucks with the correct wheel size (preferably metal wheel sets). What's my best option? Thanks.

Proto:48 conversion for Atlas O Trinity 5151 Hopper

Hi, here is a look at my recent project to convert an Atlas O 2-Rail Trinity 5161 covered hopper to Proto:48.   I used the brass couplers and Roller Bearing trucks from Protocraft, along with the conversion bolster designed by Jim Lincoln and 3D printed on Shapeways.   The bolster is very well designed and replaces the factory bolster.  The only thing I modified was to install the Protocraft bolster bearing in place of the pin that comes with the printed part (since the bolster is actually designed to fit the Atlas truck).  The Protocraft truck i
