Prototype Railroading

Dealing with P&A/P&LE exchanging Passenger Trains
Because of limited space, and because the only connection out of Pittsburgh from the P&A is with the P&LE (who in 1953 served both the B&O and the P&LE, which gives more justification for the Limited’s from Buffalo, and come to find out the trains did not originate in Buffalo, but in Toronto. I just discovered this, so further research is needed on that minor fact.

More questions about the REA
So I am working on the finer details of the track plan for the Final Version of the P&A and my research data for REA facilities is incomplete. I would like to start this conversation off with two simple questions.
First, is there a resource (online or otherwise) to tell me locations of REA Facilities (and what kind of facility it is, i.e. just an office in a building or it's own building) in Pennsylvania?

Locomotive Graveyard
This fellow uses drones to get some very interesting videos,....this particular one of a big diesel engine graveyard. He does most of his forum posting over here,..

What other resources are available for research of RR Customers?
I have a PRR Employee Timetable for the area that I have supplanted the PRR with my own proto-freelanced RR. Since the original Allegheny Valley Railway ran from Pittsburgh to Oil City, I figure the areas that the railroad would serve would have a similar development whether it was the PRR or some other railroad serving them. It is impractical to model every town.

Railroads Slashed Jobs In Nov To Lowest In Decades... As Stocks Soared To Record Highs
This article may be of interest to a few who are interested in the economics and business side of railroading, or those who have or want(ed) railroad careers.
The trend won't be news to those working in the industry, of course, but may still provide a useful data point.
CNR RDC-1s and RDC 3 phase 1
I'm researching CNR RDCs.
I'm trying to figure out what the (i) means in RDC-1 D100(i).
Does anyone know what the (i) means? Does this mean phase 1?
Warehouse box car elevators of the past?
Greetings to all.
I recently had an interesting conversation about old warehouses in NYC that freight rail operations would enter/ exit. What was said was that it is believed according to a relative in the early 1950’s there were elevators that boxcars were shuttled in. The fascinating part (although without proof) was these boxcars were lifted to higher floors to unload loads then boxcar was placed back on elevator to be switched out at ground level.

Yard Transfer Runs between different RR's - Double Checking my notes/research
From all my notes, I think I have a decent understanding how Yard Transfer's were typically done in the 1950s, but if those who have greater knowledge than I can please check my understanding, and make corrections where needed, I would appreciate it. I do have some outstanding questions too, so if they could be answered as well, that would be appreciated as well.

Incline Logging Video
I just watched a fascinating video on logging,...more specifically incline logging operations. Very well presented
Track maintenance and operations
In another thread, I asked about single-track traffic, and one of the interesting comments was that there is a lot of MoW activity that constrains operations.
OK, I'll bite. What does that consist of, and for bonus points, how would one work a reasonable amount of that into model railroad operations. The latter might be defined as "an operating session" or merely as things that happen and might be seen in a display. (I do some work on a museum model railroad.)
