One of the better feebay sellers, K4-pacific, has been selling their own line of decals. Has anyone used any of these? Any reports on applicability, quality, etc?

well i bit it.

bought a five unit trailer train well car off flea-bay. knowing missing trucks and assorted parts.

 but did not even think some of the parts are what hook them together, and support them on the trucks.

both end units are ok.(units  A, B), are good to go, just need the detail things.

EMD SW1200 Headlight/Number Board Housing

Is there a source for an HO scale EMD SW1200 headlight/number board housing?

This is the dual headlight housing and I can't seem to find anyone that makes this product.

I don't relish the thought of buying a complete model or shell just for the headlight.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Tichy Tank Car - Hand railings and stanchions help

Have been working my way through a 6 pack build of Tichy tank cars.

I'm having issues with the hand rail components. While I understand they are delicate on most tank cars im looking for other options for this part to improve the durability. The kit design has 2 end castings and uses wire for the rail on either side. I am considering using something shown in this topic.

Hi all, I just started to repaint these:

I really can't stand that plastic toy look! So, paint they will get!

In the process, I'm going to decal them for my own railroad.

I will also weather them and add some details along the way.

I purchased an HO scale 4-6-0 camelback. It is mostly cast with some brass. It is stamped "New Day Japan". I have seen these before & believe they are from the 50s. I would apreciate any info. you could give me....thanks

My good friend 3D printed my own designed Arch bar trucks. He has a Anycubic Photon, and these are printed with the new waterbased resin.

I use Kadee HOn3 wheelsets.

Does anyone know where to find Athearn Hex Flywheel Bushings? WAS: how to insert bushings into Athearn Flywheels?

OK, Just figured out why the bushings I bought don't fit.  The Athearn Flywheels I bought have a hex shape hole for the bushing's the bushings are round.  SO, does anyone know where to find hex style flywheel bushings?

Installing EMD GP35 wipers

I have the Details West Tandem wiper detail part and the windshield wiper set. They are for the EMD diesels and I have the Athearn GP35 RTR that comes without wipers added. 

Maybe those of you with skill and good eyes could help me with any suggestions for installing. I know the drill size but have no idea how the tandem arm attaches to the wipers. I'll have enough trouble cutting them off the sprues withy a new #11.

Should passenger car axles be lubed?

I'm pulling 11 Walthers UP Heritage Passenger cars and they seem collectively heavy to pull.  Does anyone find it appropriate to lube the axle points?  Anyone have any other experience to pass along with these cars other than that they need 36" curves for reliable operation?
