Source for Vallejo paints

Does anyone know of a vendor that sells individual bottles of Vallejo paints as opposed to the sets?  I'm having trouble finding Sky Grey (70.989).

Allied Rail Rebuilders,...custom builds

I was looking for images of custom builds/modifications to the Walther's kit "Allied Rail Rebuilders" . I didn't find much during an image search??

I would have thought I would find more. Anyone have some?

Switch/turnout product?

Hey guys,

I’m trying to find a automatic turnout switch like the one in the picture. I don’t need it to actually work just need one for aesthetics.  I haven’t had any luck finding one online. If anyone can send a link I’d appreciate it.  I think it’s an automatic switch stand base that the dispatcher can control.

Thanks

Patrick

Suggestions on the order process on my Free-Mo module

I'm finally at the point on my Free-Mo module to start doing the scenery. I was wondering what would be the best order to do things. It's pretty basic, just an asphalt platform, dirt parking lot, berm with telephone poles on one side and shrubs, old road bed and light poles on the other side of the main.

Recognize This Depot?

Hi:

Do any of you recognize this structure? Is it a kit? If so, what brand and what's the kit name?

Thanks for any help.

hardboard backdrop

A question to those who have used hardboard (aka Masonite) as a backdrop. Does it require primer before painting? Being a pressed fibre product, I'm concerned that it may soak up paint like a sponge. Opinions and experiences ?

DPM Structure Kitbash butt joint is flexable

Last night I made my first butt joint of many in a DPM Goodnight Mattress kitbash to join two sidewalls into a single wall to make a low releif building.  I was really careful to get good 90* edges to work with, pushed the pieces together on a straightedge and applied the glue to the back of the joint.  I expected the glue to wick down into the joint and weld the entire seam, but it seems like there was little wicking action.  I am left with a beautiful, but quite flexable joint.

I feel like my options are:

Here's my ditch

So here's where I am so far. I want something in the ditch, maybe some rocks, water, and some kind of water vegetation, but not too much. Maybe some brush/weeds at the grassline.

I like the Jim Six grass suggestion, like the look. I had to lower the profile of the foam so the grass wasn't above the rail.

This was my first attempt at ballast, thoughts/suggestions before the wet water and glue comes out?

Has Anybody Used a Wondercutter

For my new layout I need to scratch build a lot of stucco/concrete warehouses.  I have never had much luck with the score and snap method with plastic.  That means cutting out a lot of windows and doors from sheet plastic.  I saw in the Micro Mark catalog a tool called a Wondercutter, which looks like an Exacto knife that vibrates.  It is really expensive, but if it works as it looks would be worth it for me.  Has anyone out there tried one of these in scratch building structures?

Engine facility fuel storage

Does anyone model the fuel storage tanks at fuel pads or engine service facilities?

I have tried google image search for this sort of thing, using all sorts of key words and I am just not finding much. Obviously, the term above ground storage tank brings up all kinds of stuff, but none of it seems to be railroad specific.
