How to enhance the white decals on water slide material

Well I'm back people. I need what ever in formation is available that is used to bring a clearer image for Micro scale decals boxcar markings to light so a guy can see them. I have great lighting but I still can't make out what they are.

Please help. Thanx Steve Klein

Tweaking Walther's Instant Background Buildings

PLEASE SEE MY LAST POST BELOW. IN SPITE OF MANY GOOD SUGGESTIONS IT BECAME APPARENT THAT REPLACEMENT WITH SOMETHING ELSE WAS EASIER THAN TRYING TO FIX.

Is there a tool for making small structures square?

Has anyone fabricated a small tool for assembling small objects like a loading dock? I use the micro mark metal tray with square corners for buildings - but looking for something small for small objects.

Any idea where to find boat models?

Hi all,

I'm currently working on a design for an O scale layout featuring a 1900's canal port (something similar to Williamsport, MD along the old C&O canal) are coming along nicely, with the exception of boats. I've been able to find several O scale boats, but all have been along the lines of great lakes or seafaring styles.

Anybody know of any sources for O scale canal boats?

Thanks for the help!

Cutting Mat Suggestions

I am setting up my workbench to start making scratch built structures, etc., and would like the community's suggestions for the best type/brand of cutting mats.

What is a recommended size to get .... I'm seeing 8"x5", 9"x12", 12"x18" and up .... but I'm hesitant to spend $20 and up plus for a PVC mat.

Thanks for your input.......

Kitbashing and expanding a City Classics building

I have a couple of DPM models and have enjoyed being creative with their modular templates.  Nice, wish they had a wider selection of window architecture...

Recently, I came across the City Classics modular system.  They have a building I'm interested in (Smallman Water Street Warehouse) but I would like to make it taller and longer.

My questions:

Are there templates for the city classics modular walls to print and plan a building?

Any examples of kitbashing a building using the city classics modular system?

Help finding Asian figures

I’ve been looking for O scale figures that might represent railroad or field workers from the turn of the century up until the 1920’s. My preference is Chinese or Japanese but any Asian figures seem elusive. Anybody have some leads?

Panorama Printing

Does anyone have a recommendation for printing large photo panoramas?

What material should I use for a city street ?

In the past I have used cork cut from rolls for my streets.  After checking five places today I have discovered cork sold by the foot is a thing of the past.  Large quantities still available on Amazon.  I was thinking, maybe Foamcore Board as a substitute but was wondering how this would hold up after painting on a street with lane stripes etc.  Any other ideas for a raised surface suitable for a road ?  What are you using ?

Fine mist scenic cement sprayer?

I tried to search for this, but I think the search bar on this site goes to Google.

Anyway I have been watching the Luke Tower videos and I like the idea of a finer mist sprayer for scenic cement. I have tried watering it down before, but it wasn't working too well.

Is there a special type of sprayer you need for scenic cement? Or if not, what is a combination to water down Woodland Scenics? I also have the woodlands scenics sprayer, but is spits out the cement and blobs it on the layout.

Any suggestions for me?
