Victorian and Edwardian figures formodeling the 1890-1910 period

A UK model maker has commenced producing some figures from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period.

He has been making them in OO scale, but now is going to produce them to HO scale.  On the left are OO figures and on the right HO.

His work can be seen on his website at acstadden.co.uk or anyone interested can email him directly through the website.

Backdrop seams, how to hide

I'm using 1/8" MDF/Masonite for my backdrop on an around the walls shelf layout. I'm trying to blend the seams between 4' panels, but I am having difficulties. I've tried pre-mixed drywall mud, bondo auto body filler, and spackling putty, but all crack and show the seams. If they make a sandable and paintable caulking I think that would do it. What works?

Round house/turntable question

Has anyone ever put an Atlas round house with a Walters 90ft turntable? These are the items I have and need to work with but I'm not sure how it can be done. Any ideas? Thanks.

Southern pacific Signals (BLMA signal)

I'm looking into purchasing the following two signals:
BLMA 4051 Single Head
BLMA 4050 Dual Head

I want to make sure that they are appropriate before I purchases them.

I will be using them to protect a siding.

Brick Floquil Paint

Hello,

I'm new to MRH and so far it looks like a great site full of information and tips.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has a suggestions on what to use for red brick paint. I'm building a station for a friend, but I can't seem to find any good-looking brick paint. I have some Tamiya flat red paint but that is far too red to look anything like brick.

Sand available at Michael's, N scale, ballast

Has anyone used the sand available at the Michael's chain for N scale ballast, did it look good?
