Does anyone remember the issue which contained the article on applying static grass with a modified electric fly swatter? I finally got my hads on the swatter, and now can't locate the article.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these Pizza Hut kits stateside?

I do not speak Deutsch very well and really think I might totally mess up an order. It is listed for about $115 USD. That is certainly salty, but I was going to give it to a client as a thank you gift. Anyone know what it might cost for shipping and any import fees?

Lava Rock Ballast?

I'm wondering if anyone has a good idea of what ballast to use for replicating a lava rock ballast, such as that used on the McCloud River Railroad?  Woodland Scenics has Iron Ore ballast (which I believe I'd want the medium grade as I'm modeling HO Scale), but I don't know if there is a better mix out there?

Need suggestions for color selection for Allegheny River Color

I don't have any good photographs of the Allegheny River to take with me to Lowes to match a paint chip with to get the correct color for painting the riverbed for the Allegheny River.  It's a yellowish-greenish color.  I am modeling mid summer.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I need to paint the base before putting the stone arch bridge in.

In the last month or so I saw a site which showed HO scale pulp bales on skids. Of course i forgot to copy the supplier info. Does anybody have any clues or is this the onset of oldtimers'?

Hi all,

My 5 and 3(and newborn) grandchildren will be visiting us for 3-4 weeks here at the end of June.   They both love Pa's trains and I have a little set of Bachman track that is 'theirs'.   I have just started over so I don't know how much will be running on mine, but was thinking of projects that they could help me with.   They, like their mom, are very creative, but of course, relatively short attention spans.   So I was wondering what kind of projects they could help with.
