What is a good tool for crimping insulated wire connectors? I have been using a stripper/crimper combo and I have not been too happy with the results.
Narrowing Peco HO code 83 turnout headblocks
Does anyone have any experience or ideas on reducing the width of the turnout headblocks?
Building FLAT switches
Hi Folks:
I spent some time this weekend trying to get a handmade switch working, discovered that when I built it, I accidently built in some warp somehow. So I'm planning to build a new one this evening. Any suggestions on how I can make sure it is and stays flat?
Thanks
TIM
Bachmann Speed Controller #44213
Hello all,
I use a Bachmann speed controller #44213 without any problem. But I have a question about it:
Is it a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controller ? I think so but I'm not really sure.
Many thanks for all your replies.

Bench Power Supply "Lab Grade"
Bench top Power Supplies. I know what they are and how useful they can be. They output a voltage and an amperage that you can control independently from one another. Particularly useful for when you are making decisions on how to power an item before placing it on the layout.
IM Cab forward causing other locomotives to move
I have a Intermountain Mountain Cab forward that causing other locomotives to move when it is on the track.
My system is a Digitrax Chief DCS100 with DB168 (block detector) and PS42.
I'm thinking it is the decoder in the Loco but wanted other ideas. When it is off the track all loco run correctly.
Control panel lights for manual turnout switches
Most of my turnouts operate with tortoise switch machines and point alignment is indicated with dual red/green Led's on the control panel. However, I have 3 turnouts manually operated with SPDT switches that I want to connect to the control panel to light the turnout indicator Led's. Is there a wiring schematic available that will show me the correct way to power the Led's with the SPDT switched?

Light fixture planning while finishing basement
I finally got wall outlets installed in the basement pictured below in a photo from move in appearance (the main floor has been been taking precedence wince we moved in late last year). I have bought a stack of drywall and it is on-deck to install as soon as I line up a contractor.

Looking for Really old MRC decoder documentation
I thought I had a few of these around... and I found them. Might even be more curse than blessing!
OLD (circa 1998) MRC decoders - hard wired into MRC locos sold with DCC Systems as intro level locos.
The locos are FA-1s and the decoders are labelled (on the PC) TER 414W All wires leave the board from one end and are soldered.
