Proto Throttle - overseas use; any chance?

Is (or will be) there any chance to get and use a PT in Europe legally?

Digitrax DCS 100 HO/N switch setting

So, I have been pondering this question for the past couple of weeks.  Most Digitrax command stations have a 3-position switch to select O/G-N-HO scale.  Can someone explain to me what this switch actually does.  Does it solely adjust the max voltage and hence speed (I know that's not exactly the correct terminology) that is output from the command station?  Any other ramifications?

What would happen if you ran HO scale locos while choosing the N scale option?

What would happen if you ran N scale locos while choosing the HO scale option?

TCS KA on ESU LokSound decoder-Dangerous?

I am planning on installing an ESU LokSound decoder. I have seen somewhere(maybe YouTube) that using a TCS KA on the decoder would void the warranty and that there was a danger that the TCS KA could somehow burn up the decoder.

I do not have much experience with this type of thing, this will be my first time installing a decoder, and I dont plan to jump too deeply into programing the decoder...I just have the TCS KA and I thought it would be good to use.

Thank you for any help here.

Having trouble with my Digitrax slots

Hello I am having trouble with my Digitrax System ...

I had reached slot max at 22 before; but through some fumbling by me was able to add some engines.  I thought I had removed the slot max problem: I may have.  I have the following PS2012 power supply, a DB150 and a DCS100 all hooked to gether with a PM42 Quad and a PM42 break out board.

Experience with TCS WowDiesel WDK-ATH-7 or WDK-ATH-8 in Athearn RTR SD40 and/or SD40-2?

Just checking if others have had any issues with these.  They include: 21 pin sound decoder, replacement motherboard, and a speaker and enclosure.  Appears everything is the same across the two TCS kits EXCEPT the speaker enclosures.

My supplied speaker appeared to have no separation on the solder pads and it appeared the wires were wound together on their way to the coil.  To be safe, I wired things up and used a different 8 ohm speaker I had on hand.

Quandry trying to use Peco #6 Double Slip switch with Tam Valley Frog Juicer

The switch is SL-U8363 (Unifrog).  I'm using a Tam Valley Hex Frog Juicer.  Track Power is DCC from an MRC 8 Amp booster.  Approach track is Atlas Code 83 and there are Atlas Customline switchs attached to one end of the Peco Double Slip.

I wired it all up and all has seemed well.  Ran multiple switchers through it and was impressed with how smooth and complete the system worked.

Runaway engines on a DC power pack

Was testing a new extension on my layout and for some reason my engine will run even with zero throttle. DC layout with MRC pack. Momentum is not on and no accessories. Any advice will be welcome.

Anyone able to identify these units?

I bought a layout that had these units in a nicely made box marked for a helix.

Being an electronic numpty, I have no idea what they are.

Can anyone identify what they are, their use and whether in today's modelling they would be of use to anyone.

Help Identifying a DCC Specialties Board

I need some help identifying this DCC Specialties DCC Board - I think this is an autoreverse board. Not sure why it has the normal 2-connectors J1 Inputs but then there are 6-connectors on the J2  output.

Any ideas?

Wiring a Soundtraxx Econami decoder to two NWSL Stanton drive units.

I've recently installed two NWSL Stanton drive units to an older Overland NW3 and wired them to a Soundtraxx Economi decoder. Nothing works. Individually the stanton drives work fine but wired into the decoder nothing.  I'm sure I've wired something wrong but, being electrically challenged, probably wired something wrong but haven't found any answers from anyone yet.

Here is a photo of the project so any help on what I screwed up would be appreciated.

Thanks
