Builders in Scale 1001 SM-1 SwitchMaster Switch Machine
Hi I purchased a Builders In Scale 1001 SM-1 SwitchMaster Switch Machine. It is a stall motor type and I need to mount it on a Free-Mo Module that has to be operated from both sides of the module. Since this is a Junction module it needs to be as flawless as possible or easily repaired on the spot. So the best I can figure is to wire in pair of 3 way electrical switches on the facial one on each side, but is that the best way?

Frog height
I have been reading the posts about the various wheelsets using NMRA S-4.4 and RP25 and Proto:87. I have also read Joe's building of a Central Valley turnout.

Please help with programming engine
I have a Kato n scale P42 with a drop-in TCS decoder (K0D8-A). I'm programming it using JMRI.
My goal is to get the ditch lights I just installed to stay on steady, or to pulse in an alternate fashion
I can get them to pulse, but I can't figure out how to also program them to stay on if that's what I want.
Here's my current setup:

Fleischmann Turnouts
I'm building a Noch preformed layout (Baden-Baden) using Fleischmann N scale piccolo track. The turnouts I have are not motorized. Any that had a motor I removed. They look clunky and you can't place ballast to hide them.
A Simple Servo Controller
Peter has done a super job of describing how he has used servos to throw switches on his layout - see:
http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/25958
I would like to suggest an alternative method of using controlling the servos.
I have come up with a simple modification to an eBay servo tester that turns it into a unit that is well suited to operating switches and comes at a very attractive price (I paid $1.24 for the controller including shipping to the US)
Decoder problems...
I have a new BLI Santa Fe 2-10-2 Paragon 2 loco, that I picked up about 3 weeks ago. This is my first sound equipped loco and I'm operating a Digitrax Zephyr on a simple 5x9 layout. There is only ever 1 loco at a time running on this set up. My 1st DCC equipped loco was a cheap Bachmann 0-6-0. The Bachmann has had zero problems programing to the track.

Programming Track setup
I am planning a very small layout and want to be able to have a programming track. Reading Allan Gartner's Wiring for DCC website (http://www.wiringfordcc.com/) and his section on programming track he warns of having a situation where a locomotive runs onto the programming track while it is set to programming mode. He suggests a dead zone to prevent this from happening. An alternative to the dead zone is to shut the rest of the layout completely off. That works for me with such a small layout here is the wiring diagram using a double throw quad pole toggle.
Application for Wiring Diagrams?
Hi All,
I'm looking for a (preferably free) application that I can draw some wiring diagrams for my layout. I'm about to start wiring up 8 tortoise machines with a MotorMan controller and BiColor LEDs and switches...
I've thought about just getting out some graph paper and doing it that way, but I'd prefer to have it on the computer where I plan it all out, with correct wire color coding, and then just work from the diagram when I wire it all up.
Suggestions?
Thanks

Wire Marking
Got a major rewiring project on our club layout in my immediate future. Looking for an inexpensive, easy method for marking lots of wires under the layout. Writing on the benchwork won't cut it. I'm looking for a 'Write on a label and wrap around the wire" solution. There are several commercial products, but they seem a bit pricey. Current wires were marked with some sort of tape, but it has become gooey and the writing has bled into oblivion.
rerailer
My Railroad Club purchased some Jiffy Rerailers years ago, it works like a drop in rerailer and works great. I was wondering if anybody knows where I can purchase some. I understand that the person who was selling them had passed away but I was wondering if anyone had took his place or any company picked it up.
