12AWG bus wire for small shelf layout

Yes I have used the search button, but most answers tell what I should buy not if what I have is detrimental or not.

What I have: Some years ago an exterior extention cord got injested by the snowblower. I had to cut it in sections to liberate the snowblower, leaving me with a 3 conductor in 12AWG strander copper.

The layout is E shaped in roughly 10ft + 10ft + 8ft with the center leg being about 7ft. DCC is an NCE power cab. Layout will see max 3 sound locomotive and 1 or 2 lighted caboose (if ever). I plan on adding a Tam Valley booster at a later date.

I need help with placement of a reversing circuit, please.

Trying to find the "Reverse Loop Guru" to help me with the placement of a reverse loop circuit into a track plan. I can send a schematic of the problem if you are confident in reverse loop puzzles in DCC. Thanks.

WHAT IS THE BEST WIRE GAUGE FOR N-SCALE LAYOUT POWER WIRING?

I've seen a number of opinions regarding what gauge wire is best for power supply to Code 80 n-scale track?  What is your opinion?  What has been your experience?  Any advice?

Thanks.

Details West grade crossing wiring

I’m looking for someone who can wire up the Details West CS-913 Grade Crossing Signal With LED's

if anyone knows someone who will do the wiring for a fee please let me know.  The wiring is to small and hard for my skill level right now but would like to get some on my layout.

DC to DCC

I know there is a discussion about what I'm about to ask, but please forgive me I'm asking anyway.

I recently aquired a DC HO Scale layout from a muesum. Its small 4x8 with 2 loops and a few sidings. I want to convert it to a NCE DCC system. I do not plan on running more than 2 locomotives at anyone time. So my question is 2 fold.

1. What do I need from NCE to convert the layout

2. How difficult is it. Electric work is not my strong suit.

Thank you for your help.

New nce pcp

Just got my new nce power cab. It has the new PvP with it. It has 2 ports on back instead of 1. When I get my usb adapter in the next day or 2 can I hook into the back instead of the front? I plan on eventually using the nce as my main cab and building a dcc++ set-up for programming

Micro Engineering flex track, an Ah Ha.

Here’s something I saw before I laid the track for my railroad.  It was in the Dream, Plan, Build series that Model Railroader put out.  It showed up on YouTube today so I thought I’d pass it along.  That way when I come to visit your layout it will look as good as it runs!?!???

Maybe someone who can remember will make a better link!

If you haven’t used ME flex track yet, watch this first!!!

1997 Easy DCC Command station

Does anyone know if an Easy Dcc command station from 1997 will work with todays JMRI Decoder Pro for motion only decoders. Specificically will it write and read back the decoder.

Arduinos on Turntables

On m layout I have two Peco Turntables (N Scale).

It was suggested that an Arduino setup would be what I needed. I am a 100% Arduino newbie.

One turntable is simply to change direction of the locos coming and going from Elora.

The other turntable is in Orangeville yard and has 18 spokes.

What is required to automate these turntables?
