Track and electrical/DCC

Best track with roadbed attached.
I've been asked to do a display at the local K-12 school for their local history display. The CPR came through here until the 80s and was a big part of the community so teaching the kids about what used to be here is important to know how they got where they are.
LOK programmer
Looking for some guidance from well versed folks on ESU LokProgrammer. I need help beyond the manuals from ESU. I have several locomotives all with ESU decoders of various sorts, all sound. My issue is sometimes the decoders do not get recognized by the programmer. I do understand the issue of capacitors, these are lok sound select typical deocder. Before I deem a defective programmer ( which is brand new) I am searching for other answers and need help. Thanks for your time for any help. Question 2 to follow.

Getting quality sound with Bluetooth technology
I would like to equip my sound decoder locomotives with Bluetooth modules to transmit the sound to an old computer speaker with sub-woofer to get enhanced sound. I began my quest with a Broadway Limited SW-7 with Paragon 2 sound DCC decoder. I wired a 3.5mm plug to the speaker wires and plugged in a 41mmx32mmx9mm transceiver and I had big sound. Now DigiKey and Mouser carry large varieties of modules of a more reasonable size around 16mmx9mmx3mm (that transceiver rides on the running boards and is taller than the smokestack).

Hand laid turnouts.... Tips Pointers and such
Just got an order from Fast Tracks, soon I will be starting construction of turnouts for my layout.
Before I get going I just wanted some feedback from those who have already been down this road.
Thanks..

MOST Reliable 3-way Turnout
What is the most reliable 3-way turnout anyone has experienced?
I intend to place one in a helix 'box' just outside my train shed layout, and will be providing a door to reach in and fix derailments, but I am hoping to do that VERY seldom.

Electronics Help or... I'm going to take up a simple hobby like embroidery
I'm getting conflicting advice from a variety of sources. I need some electronics help. I am trying to operate my hand laid turnouts with servos. I have bought and assembled a Megapoints board. Megapoints is a commercial product from the UK and is also available as a kit from MERG, the electronics club in the UK. The kit works as advertised with analog servos that I bought on their recommendation from HobbyKing.

Panel and track indicator light question
I have a problem looking for a solution, or an idea looking for a problem as some may think. One thing that drives me nuts on my own layout and when I run yards on other layouts are the amount of people that always want to congregate in the yard. I am trying to keep this to a minimum on my layout so I though that I could add this feature for crews and the yard to work with.
Peco Streamline track code 70?
Has anyone heard any updates on this?
I checked their website, but couldn't find any info on the matter.

Which Scotchlok IDC to use.
I am planning a 14 awg solid bus and 20 awg feeders. I am trying to figure out which IDC I need. There seems to be a variety. Wondering what others are using and any suggestions you may have.

New crossover on existing layout - "minor surgery"
Hi All, good evening,
Just want to share the "minor surgery" I had to do in my layout. A crossover between a runaround track and a departure track.
I should have known from the start that I would need to do this. After all, before and while planning the layout I read, I guess, all the books on the subject! Even the John Armstrong book...
Anyway, one only notices the fault when it is needed.
So, here goes.
The idea is to place a crossover here:
