Benchwork and roadbed

Gorilla Glue and Extruded foam subterrain

I'm going to start gluing my extruded foam to my benchwork but I had a question. I was reading about using Gorilla Glue and I recall something about spraying the foam (or was it the glue) with water before gluing in place. I can't recall what was the best process to get the glue to work with the foam.

Any links to articles about this or information on how you did it would be great.

Thank you.

Cool helix design approach

Here’s a unique design for a helix made by Michael Petersen based on an original concept by Nathan Holmes:

Nice!

Plywood benchwork

Well, I'm building my layout in a new 14x16 building just for the layout and my shop. I decided a long time ago that this one would be built using 3/4" Birch plywood ripped into 3" boards. My experience finding quality 1x4's was not good on the last layout so reading about the plywood sounded like a good answer.

Building a Helix with PVC pipe

I have seen a few discussions of utilizing PVC pipe for subroadbed, and this particular one is one of the better ones
